These
reusable large breast pads will not only save you heaps of money
compared to using disposable breast pads, they are also so much better.
Hemp is known to be very absorbent, much more so than pure cotton, in
addition be having anti-fungal and anti-bacterial properties. This
means that unlike other breast pads, which you are recommended to
change if they get even slightly moist, especially if you are prone to
thrush (fungal infection on the nipples), with the hemp breast pads you
can wear them a little longer, and change them when they actually get
wet.
The
breast pads are made of three layers of hemp/ organic cotton fleece,
45% hemp and 55% organic cotton. They actually get better with use, and
reach their maximum absorbency after 5-6 washes. They have already been
pre-washed to allow for shrinkage, and are approximately 10-11 cm in
diameter.
